Common Rotation have become sort of a sister band to the Dust Bowl Cavaliers. Matt Young and I played bass and mandolin, respectively, on their last album, Isalie, and we’ve been sitting in with them at live gigs for the past few years. Adam and Eric were the musicians at my wedding, where they covered Death Cab’s “I Will Follow You Into the Dark” and Jon Brion’s “Here We Go.” We’re currently mixing a joint Dustbowl/Common Rotation EP which is due out in the spring.
